I'm angry

I’m angry at the state of this country.
I am angry at the direction that we’ve chosen to take.
I’m angry at the decisions we are allowing one man to make.
I’m angry because we have given power to one man.
I’m angry because there is no one around him willing to take a stand.
I am angry because I feel we are lost.
I’m angry because there is too great a cost.
I am angry because to protect your lies.
So many innocent people will die.
I am angry, I’m angry... now what should I do...
45 I’m going to just let this poem be finished by the late great Maya Angelou...
“You should be angry. You must not be bitter. Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host. It doesn’t do anything to the object of its displeasure. So use that anger. You write it. You paint it. You dance it. You march it. You vote it. You do everything about it. You talk it. Never stop talking it.” -Maya Angelou-
